Home Preparation (1 hour) Setting up a long-term confinement area such as a gated doorway, closed-off room –  recommend using the kitchen if possible. Short-term area recommendation would be an appropriate-sized crate. Securing play area, playtime schedule, and training schedule. Setting long-term goals of what type of dog personality will fit best with you and your family. Setting short-term goals will help achieve the long-term goals. Setting up a schedule for potty breaks and play time and walks. 

Pet Selection (2 – 4 hours) Reviewing the long-term goal. Do you want a large or a small dog? Is your family active? Outdoors a lot? Travel? Homebodies? Do you have a lot of guests over, host parties, or BBQ’s? Do you currently have any other pets in the home? 

Adoption (1 – 3 hours) Help with adoption paperwork, register microchip, and transportation if needed. 

Homecoming (1 – 3 hours) Doing the introduction to the home. Teaching where the feeding, resting, and potty areas are. Meeting family/friends not living in the home. Introducing to other pets living in the home and possibly frequent visitors. Introduce special activities like hiking, boating, etc….

Feeding Schedule/Diet: Setting food proportions for daily calories, feeding schedule (varies with Basic Skills Training), and feeding area. 

Basic Training Skills (3 sessions, 1 hour each) Teaching basic commands: Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Leave it, and Recall. Basic house manners, front door entrance greeting, impulse control, and loose leash walk. 

Post Training Support: Remaining available for contact with any new issues that may develop, previous issues that come back, or even if you just have a simple question for the trainers. 

Post Training Maintenance (3 hours) Following up to include 6 visits (30 minutes each) in a year to maintain basic training skills, learn new skills, and correct any issues. 

Advance Training Skills: (additional cost) Retrieve, Nose Work, Walk in heel position, Off Leash Heel, Go to, Roll Over, Shake, and long distance command skills.
